CPR Questions

I wanted to respond to some of the issues involving CPR that I noticed on some of the blogs.

1. Overall, people did very well on the assignment. The class average for CPR was 80 and for the paper, 85. Not too bad. 7 people received As on CPR, 7 As on A2. So, a good set of papers and CPRS.

2. CPR does tend to be frustrating for some students. I think this is because it asks you to think about writing in a way that you have not previously. You are generally given points to think about then you write. You turn the paper in and you get a grade. After looking at the grade, you mostly don't think about the paper. CPR forces you to think about whether a piece of writing is works or doesn't work. That is a new skill for most (just like learning calculus or anatomy) and it is hard. So, frustration is understandable.

3. You are always welcome to contact me about specific CPR questions. A few people had technical problems--I resolved them and they didn't impact grades. If you would like to discuss a specific question in CPR, I will be happy to receive an email detailing the question and your concerns.

Hope this illuminates the CPR questions!

A3 Extension

A few students have asked for an extension on A3. I will push the deadline for A3 back to Sunday at midnight.

I am going to post the A4 assignment today. You will need to get started on this as soon as possible. Please note that, with the end of the semester fast approaching, you will need to be sure to budget enough time to complete A4. I cannot move the due dates for A4 or CPR 4 back or I impact the grades of graduating seniors.
